I just built PL6 on a Sun 3/80 running 4.0.3+acadpatch+jumbopatch, and messages is acting screwy. Specifically, Messages (and Sendmessage) are displaying text (and lines, for that matter) with periodic dropouts -- the scrollbar, for example, looks like it's made out of dashed lines, and several dots are missing from each character. Has anyone else seen this or have ideas? It worked fine under PL5 (but the PL5 messages complains about some "lpair" problem and dumps core when I try to run it inside the PL6 environment). I've had to revert to PL5 for the time being. -- -- beak is beak is not

Anthony, Did you make sure 'make World' got all the way through when installing patch 6? The tail end of World is xmkfontd, which may not have gotten done.
