I recently had to replace the clutch in my car, much to my surprise and at no little expense. I started wondering, how long do clutches usually last and how much do they usually cost to replace? Answers to the above questions will be accepted at ...mhtsa!mh3bs!wsm and the results (if any) will be statistically treated and summarized. I would like the following information: 1- Mileage on clutch at replacement. 2- Ballpark cost. (may be omitted, my main goal is avg clutch life) 3- Front or rear wheel drive. 4- Typical driving environment (city, highway, race course). 5- Anything else you might add.
