Does the AMS_NoDomainPreferredOnLocalMail actually work? I was hoping that once I set this in AndrewSetup, I could start using UUCP bang addresses, without having to bother about what domain will get tacked onto it. I.e. I was hoping that when I specify an address mtgzx!jis I would get mtgzx!jis after address validation instead of mtgzx!jis@domain, but that does not happen. I still get mtgzx!jis@domain, no matter what I do with NoDomainPreferredOnLocalMail. I am running AMS in Pacth 7 Rel 3 of Andrew. What is AMS_NoDomainPreferredOnLocalMail supposed to do anyway? I have AMS_NoDomainPreferredOnLocalMail: 1 AMS_UUCPSupported: 1 In my AndrewSetup file. Using this, "foo!bar" validates directly, and "nsb" validates as "Nathaniel Borenstein <nsb>" rather than "Nathaniel Borenstein <nsb@thumper.bellcore.com". You should test a case like the latter to find out whether you've actually got the AndrewSetup lines right. If you do, these two kinds of validation should be working for you. -- NB
