Can anyone help me with some info on the Bosch mechanical
fuel injection system (in particular, as it's used on Saabs) ?
I've had Saabs ('70, '72, '74) with the older Bosch
electronic injection system and I think I understand
pretty well how it works. Recently I acquired a'76
with the newer mechanical system (which nevertheless
has a bunch of electrical connections) and I don't
understand it very well.
The problem I have at the moment is roughness on acceleration
and to a lesser extent rough idle. (Swapping plugs, coil,
rotor, wires and distributor cap with another Saab has convinced
me that it's not ignition trouble)
If anyone has access to a shop manual or knows the system well
and is willing to share info I'd appreciate it.
