Did any of you auto nurds see the Daytona 500 this weekend? For me that race was very interesting, I mean it isn't every day that I get to ride in a NASCAR race automobile. CBS needs congratulations for their excellent camera coverage, not to mention choosing the winning car for installation of that gear. FLAME NEXT Don't any of you people out there care about race competition! It appears that this group is for people to discuss problems with their foamy oil and squeaky brakes. Are there any people who own and operate something besides tired VW rabbits that exhibit strange noises? How about some discussion about local race events and national races that occur. The information would be appreciated by me and I hope many others. Thanx, Hal ps: This article has been submitted by the happy owner of a custom (and fast) Datsun 510. and it is NOT for sale!!!!!!!!!!!

I wasn't able to see the race, but based on the last lap I missed a good one. NASCAR sure can put on a show. I too would like to hear about more than broken clutch cables in Horizons. My own toy is a 1966 Dodge Charger (the first year!) with a 383-4 barrel (for those debating the most pwerful car in the US today, I note that this engine was rated at 320 HP at the time--the 426 Hemi was rated at 425 HP and would get the car to 60 MPH in under five seconds). My exhaust system needs replacing (from the headers on back). I've heard a veryy good recommendation for Hooker headers, based on a claim they last forever. Who out there would like to comment? Also, who makes a good performance muffler? -Joe P.
