Around where I live (Waterloo,Ontario,Canada) I dont think I have ever seen a gas station get its storage tanks filled during business hours (ie: daytime) but often see the tankers between midnight and 6am Could I conclude from this behavior that: a) station managers dont like huge tanker trucks blocking their lots so that a car could not get near the pumps, and thus business is lost b) do the pumps have to be switched off during refill?? if so this to would represent lost business time and/or c) the companies are aware of the disturbed sediment problem and figure that after-hours filling gives the tanks a chance to settle down before the first customer of the day? naturally, this is a problem for what few 24 hour stations we have in this area, but again a 3am disruption is still likely to affect the least number of customers ...ken (watmath!watbun!kgdykes)
