[alt.msdos.programmer] MSC replacement for coreleft

lqyy@vax5.CIT.CORNELL.EDU (01/18/90)

Does anyone have a simple Microsoft C replacement for the coreleft()
function supplied by Turbo C? _memavl only returns available
memory left n the default data segment, so it won't work on the
large model. Coreleft() works in all memory models. I am
not really interested in one of those "try malloking larger and
larger amounts till it fails" solutions because MSC large model
does not free memory very efficiently (if at all).
