I have been asked to upgrade a companies MS-DOS so that the new version of Multi-Mate might be used. The problem is that the version of Dos that they currently have is supposedly MSDOS 2.X. The MSDOS that they need is MSDOS 4.01. Someone told me that MSDOS earlier than 3.3 (although even this have the sam problem) was not told that a version 4 might be released and therfore not accept the upgrade. My question is, is there an easy way of upgrading Dos 2.x to Dos 4.x without having to re-format the ENTIRE hard drive? Please respond via Email.
