I am looking for a good editor that I can use for C programming on a PC.
This editor can be public domain, freeware, or shareware. The following
qualities, on a scale of 1 to 10, are what I'm looking for in an editor:
10) The ability to reassign key bindings to different commands.
10) The ability to shell out to DOS so that I can use a compiler.
9) The ability to use macros presently and save them for later use.
8) The ability to program it using the editor's own built in language.
8) It should be reasonably quick.
8) It should be able to edit more than one file.
5) Since I believe in modularity, the size of a file it can edit can be
two to three pages at most.
If anyone out there can recommend a good editor, please feel free to e-mail
me. Be sure to include your opinions about what you like most about it. I
would also appreciate you telling me the source and price of the editor.
