Does anybody out there have a lead on a set of straight, rust- free quarter panels?? I own a '68 Firebird and I need new ones. I would appreciate a note if you have any info--reply via net.auto or send directly to me Q7F@PSUVM . Also (while I'm on the subject) I am looking for a good rear bumper for my car (must be '67/68 Firebird--Camaro is different here). Does anyone out there own either a Firebird sprint or H.O. (67/68) with the stripes on the sides? I want to put them back on my car but I don't have the dimensions of the stripes. Can anyone help? By the way is anyone else interested in old Camaros,Mustangs, etc? I usually see stuff about why the glovebox lamp didn't work on someone's Rabbit. Let's get some action in here!!! signed, A gearhead at PSU

Your best bet on a rear bumper is to try rechromers. If you already have something back there, it may be possible to have it straightened and rechromed as well. If you do, by the way, please send me word on how it comes out. My '66 Charger has a bent front bumper. As to quarter panels--good luck. Maybe you should take up hammer, lead, and solder. And as long as I'm here-- I've had some amazing recommendations for Hooker headers. Basically, the claim was that they're worth the price, and considering the price that's high praise indeed.
