I am soliciting comments on two products (actually categories of products). First, does anyone have any experience with the Mix C/Database Toolchest that they would be willing to comment on? The package is remarkably inexpensive. Is it any good? If it works at all it's worth the price, but does it work well enought to base an application doing high volume, accuracy-critical production work on it? There are many (mostly higher priced) competitors out there, are any of them a better value in your opinion? Any description of the basic functionality provided by the toolchest would be appreciated. Second, what is your opinion of the Vitamin C screen handling library? Particularly for traditional text based data entry and update screens (single window, multiple fields, menus). Is it a good value? Also I have seen widely differing prices for Vitamin C, perhaps there is more than one version being sold? I'm not confusing VC with VC Screenpainter. (Comments on whether VC Screenpainter is essential to efficient use of VitaminC ?). Are there better libraries for the relatively simple needs I have? Thank you for any comments on these or any related products. I will summarize replies (anonymously if requested) to the net. Wade Blomgren wade@hobbes.ucsd.edu
