[comp.realtime] X11 for VxWorks

thor@stout.ucar.edu (Rich Neitzel) (05/19/89)

X for VxWorks. Unfortunately I cannot remember the following minor
details: the vendor's name and whether the implementation was for
the client, server or both. Does anyone have the missing details?

(Sorry about the repost, mailer ate first line)
I seem to recall that at least vendor has (or will soon have)
X for VxWorks. Unfortunately I cannot remember the following minor
details: the vendor's name and whether the implementation was for
the client, server or both. Does anyone have the missing details?

The vendor is us, Jupiter Systems. We have developed custom graphics hardware,
specially suited to an X server implementation. Our X server runs
in the vxWorks environment. It's only server side. It's fast (of course :-),
high res (1280x1024) and color (8 bits).

Clients running under vxWorks ain't hard...I know of places (other than us)
that have done it.
