(sorry if this came up in August - I missed a whole month here) I am currently planning an 80386-based autonomous robotic controller system that will utilize vision input and Puma control output. I am looking at real-time scheduling kernals and OS' that will allow the proper integration of the vision acquisition, processing, and robot control tasks. Has anyone used TimeSlicer with MSC as such a controller? I am partial to keeping the tasks in MSC 5.1, and don't really wish to port everything to a realtime UN*X. Of course, there is always VRTX - how do the two methods compare? Any help or advice for an old programmer who is new to big-time realtime programming would be appreciated. (I am used to writing my *own* schedulers for microcontrollers. In fact, I finished my 68HC11 version just a month before Moto's appeared on their BBS...
