I have a 1977 VW Rabbit with approx. 80,000 miles on it. As one might guess, the MacPhearson (sp?) struts are just about shot, and I was interested in getting replacements. I would like to get struts that provide improved handling, even at the expense of a "comfortable" ride. If anyone has suggestions as to brands or models, or even a source of information on these parts, I would appreciate your comments.
