I have seen a realtime performance analysis tool called ADAS. It is developed by Research Triangle Institute in North Carolina. By talking to the sales person of the product, I got an impression that Petri Net is core of the product. My understanding about the Petri Net is that it has pretty strong constraint on certain class of realtime system it can be applied. But, ADAS claims to handle any realtime system. My question is: Do I miss anything in recent development about Petri Net application in realtime systems? The ADAS is a pretty expensive product. I wonder if there is any reasonablely priced Petri Net simulation tools available. I don't care much about the bells and whistles attached such tool. The ADAS provides some graphic tools which make Petri Net simulation a bit easier. Frank Wang @ John Fluke Mfg. Co., Inc. frankw@tc.fluke.com frankw@blake.acs.washington.edu
