My role is primarily research and devlopment of tools for building
embedded and/or real-time systems. I need to know more about pSOS than
I do, in order to identify trade offs between these systems. Tek is
using VxWorks in a number of projects, but other groups have
historically used pSOS and need help in their decision to switch to
pSOS+ or to VxWorks.
I've been assigned to help collect and analyze data. I'll sift through
anything at all that anyone can provide, short or long, based on
direct or indirect experience, etc..
Some of the important points are tools for monitoring system behavior,
testing and debugging, compatibility of I/O and networking interfaces
with other systems or standards, compatibility and breadth of utility
libraries, availability of bindings for various languages (C and C++
being the most important).
Special commnents on these would be especially appreciated.
