Good day. I have a friend here who is looking into purchasing some voice-recognition hardware and software. What is the latest and greatest? My knowledge of the area is several months old (read: ancient) and I could use any information that anyone could give me. I need vendors' names and addresses; prices; burst transcription rates; sustained transcription rates; accuracy; trainability; ease of use. Interested in both add-in cards for IBM or Mac or NeXT or other platforms, and also in any standalone systems. Any information you can send me will be passed along. Please reply in email.
