Over the years, reading newsgroups like this one, I have found that the best way to get a huge response from readers is to write something they can argue against. Goal :- I want to know how operating systems (of the multitasking flavour) other than Unix perform I/O - how they implement device drivers.. Bait :- Unix has the best form of device I/O. Unix device drivers are faster than all other operating systems. Unix device drivers are the easiest to program. If it makes you feel better, you can pretend I really mean it... flame me !!. Please e-mail responses 'cos I may not read all the newsgroups I send this to. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :: Robert Hartill, Dept Of Computing Mathematics, UWCC, Cardiff, UK. :: :: e-mail : rhl@cm.cf.ac.uk :: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: He who can, does.
