Also,

David Ripps has a book out called "An Implementation Guide to Real-Time
Programming" on Prentice-Hall which presents the MTOS view of the world.
There is a book out on UNIX device drivers which presents some of the
MassComp (now Concurrent Corporation) view of the world. (Speaking of
them, there's an article in the December 90 CommACM discussing a NASA
real-time system employing RTU and LynxOS.) In the last trip to the
bookstore I saw a new book by Walter Heath on real-time software. Looked
similar to the two articles he has in some IEEE magazines or other (probably
Computer) discussing how to write a real-time executive. And then there's
the IEEE Real-Time System Symposia Proceedings, BusCon Proceedings,
Embedded Systems Conference Proceedings (just 89 & 90), and Embedded
Systems Programming magazine.

(Me? I'm reading about software metrics right now :)
