Are there books on real-time C using UNIX system calls? I am especially interested in concurrent programming with UNIX/C. Is real-time UNIX/C used more than Concurrent C for real-time application? How about Concurrent C++? I have to make a decision whether to use C (any C) or Ada for an algorithm that solves a real-time image recognition problem. The algorithm will be tested on a parallel computer. I know Ada tasking quite well, but I would like to improve my job opportunities when I am done with my master's thesis. Will C do the trick?
