This is probably a really common question, so the flame shield goes up here but does anyone know where I could get access to a PD 8051 assembler and simulator for the PC... ??? The source is not required but would be helpful !!! Much thanks for any answer.

The source to a PD 8051 ASM dev environment written in FPC Forth, (an extrememly powerful freeware Forth system for the 80x86) is available for download from the RealTime Control & Forth Board, ###-#### in .signature below. A very inexpensive assembler is available from PseudoCorp, whose M1-like macro assemblers of the PseudoSam family are cheap (~~$50) powerful and correct. Can't help ya with the simulator. I'm a Forth programmer. Once Forth is booted, we don't need no steenking simulator. Before Forth is up, we send asterisks out the serial port ... :-) -- <jax@well.{UUCP,sf.ca.us} >< Member, > /// ///\\\ \\\ /// <well!jax@lll-winken.arpa >< X3J14 TC > /// /// \\\ \\\/// <JAX on GEnie >< for ANS > \\\ /// ///====\\\ ///\\\ <SYSOP RCFB (303) 278-0364>< Forth > \\\/// /// \\\ /// \\\
