Has anyone heard of VME processor boards that use one of the MIPS chips (or some other RISC CPU)? We have a stringent real-time system that uses 68020's, and I'd like to see if there's a MIPS board we could plug in. The reasons for this would be for performance, simplicity (calculating instruction times), and predictability. Please reply by email. Thanks in advance. If there's sufficient interest, I'll post results. -Erich Nahum Real-Time Systems Group Computer and Information Science University of Massachusetts at Amherst nahum@cs.umass.edu
