[comp.realtime] [[from gnu.gcc.help]] Sun-4 cross-compilation system for LynxOS 386

greg@cheers.Bungi.COM (Greg Onufer) (04/24/91)

(I posted this to gnu.gcc.help then realized most people who could use
this software would probably be reading this newsgroup)

I have just gotten a cross system working that allows one to compile
and link LynxOS 386 binaries on a Sun. It currently works on a
Sun-4 but I see no problems with it working on a Sun-3. This mostly
involved getting the GNU linker working with files that have
byte-ordering differences. The system is based on gcc-1.39,
binutils-1.9, and a recent gas. Only binutils required substantial
changes.

If anybody could use such a system, I'm interested in finding a
couple of people who would like to beta-test it. Send me mail
and I'll give more details (known problems, etc.).

The gcc config files may be of interest to LynxOS 386 users who
aren't cross-compiling, but would like to recompile gcc on their
system.
