Hi There,
My boss has asked me to put some feelers out into the USNET eithers
and get some information. We manufacture Real/Time Signal Processing
equipment for the US Govt., currently we are in the midst of evaluating
what will satisfy our requierments for out next generation project.
We would like a Real/Time OS that is compatible with the currently
available windowing technology X-Windows, MS Windows, and (mind you
this is a wish list) comes in a UN*X flavor.
We are open to choice of processor, however we have our slight biases:
1, Motorola 88K's as our parent company has a sweetheart deal with
them, and our current system uses them.
2, RISC I'm pushing for MIPSCO as I think it's a good product and
I think this ACE thing will pan out.
3, Intel's in some 80386 form because of the ACE and there is a
lot of software out there for them, allthough none of our
engineers is crazy about the segmented architecture.
So that's it in a nutshell I can't give out to much information
over the net you now all that security stuff that goes along
