[net.auto] Preventative Maint.

lute (05/06/83)

I have a a 1981 Mazda GLC Wagon that will turn 2 years old this month. Since
I changed jobs last July, I am putting on 500+ miles per week (2200m/mo) on
my car. I recently turned 35,000 miles (this week). In Nov. I had the
radiator flushed (by a mechanic) and prepped for the winter. The last
tune-up was in Sept. at 20,000 mi. I had both the alternator and air
pump fan belts changed in March. I had the brakes checked at 25K and
last week at 35K (still in perfect condition, and I had my mechanic
and Midas check them). I had the oil and filter changed last week (as I do
every 3,000 miles). And I intend to have the ball joints greased, and
the brake fluid replaced in another 2 or three weeks.

Is there anything I've missed? I'd like to keep this car in tip-top
condition until 1985 or 90,000 miles (whichever comes first). Any
suggestions to help me reach this goal would be appreciated.
