[net.followup] 1600 Pa. Ave. on the net

<What are all these "lion eaters" people always talk about ?>

If we consider the results of the net Presidential Election Poll
from about a month back (Mondale won substantially), one can see
why the White House wouldn't be interested in the net. Obviously,
the collection of people that read the net are in no way representative
of the general population of the United States. Reagan has no good
reason to listen to us - he's too busy listening to the PEOPLE.

P.S. The opinions expressed in this article are my own and in no
way reflect the official opinion of St. Joseph's University.

P.P.S. After reading some of the slop some of the students here
have put on the net, I figure I should make it clear that
the same disclaimer goes for their articles as well.

Oh is he now? Does that include the 80-odd percent who favor a
nuclear freeze? Or the 60-odd percent who believe in a woman's right
to an abortion? Have you taken a look at his proposed budget?
Or do you think the PEOPLE wants to abolish Amtrak and farm price
supports while they're at it? (We're talking "the people" here, not
yuppie-netters who clearly couldn't care less on these issues.) What
Reagan's listening to is his staff and only his staff. He's too
busy all right--napping.
