I'll put in a vote for the Superfox. It, too, has done a good job of telling us when we are under surveillance, with the additional benefit that the antenna is mounted in the grill and the receiver is 'way down in the console. When my father's Escort was stolen, the thieves got to it by taking a wrecking bar to a window. In his own driveway. On the topic of fuel situation, by the way, our Plymouth Sapporo got the best gas mileage of its life on a trip from Seattle to Bozeman last summer at an average speed of 75 and gas mileage of 26. On our 60mph jaunts about town, it's closer to 23. -Joe P.

The published specs of the SUPERFOX and the ESCORT are very similiar as far as sensitivity goes, I can't compare their early warning modes, The SF says it also beeps at increasing speed as you get closer. BUT one thing for sure, ONLY the ESCORT has the digital Auto-Correlation function that eliminates false warnings from cheap import detectors that radiate all over the place. There are a bunch of cheapies out there. Louis Pengue uucp: {ucbvax,decvax,chico,pur-ee,cbosg,ihnss}!teklabs!tekcad!louisp CSnet: louisp@tek ARPAnet:louisp.tek@rand-relay
