This bulletin board has only being going for a couple of weeks and
every day I get 2 or 3 messages from people worried about what
population biology is. What an auspicious start. Maybe I can
help. Population biology is the study of populations.

Is nobody out there interested in gene frequencies, molecular
evolution, density dependant selection?

Although Des is right (as a fellow Irishman I have to agree with him :))
his view is rather simplistic .... saying that PB is the study of
populations is like saying painters use paint ... true but not very
helpful, also rather tautological.
