To anyone concerned:
I received a message on POP-BIO from someone who said that he had
been having difficulty replying to me or sending messages. He referred
to getting "...garbage about...the Superbowl..." If anyone else has
been experiencing problems, sending messages to me because of this, I
can explain.
At this node (I'll give my address at the end of this message), you
can, in Mail, set what's called a "Personal Message" (e.g.-"Geo-
graphic Isolation can be a factor in Speciation"). My most recent
Personal message referred to "...the Buffalo Bills winning the Super-
bowl...".
I had ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA that my setting of this Personal Message was
screwing the ability of LISTSERV@IRLEARN users to send me mail messages.
If I HAD known that this would create problems for anyone, I would
have deleted this personal message AS SOON as I subscribed to LISTSERV.
I have since deleted this Personal Message. I hope this makes things
easier for everyone. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this
mistake by me may have caused anyone.
