In the library (...that "nasty" place...Sorry for what I said yesterday...) at Niagara University, just adjacent to Niagara Falls, N.Y. I found the following article: Bermingham E. and J.C. Advise. 1986. Molecular Zoogeography of Freshwater Species in the Southeastern United States. Genetics 113: 939-965 This article talks about the use of restriction length polymorphisms in mitochondrial DNA to reconstruct evolutionary relationships of conspecific populations in 4 species of freshwater fish-Amia calva, Lepomis punctatus, populations in 4 species of freshwater fish-Amia calva, Lepomis punctatus, L. gulosus and L. microlophus. In this article, it talks about the DNA divergence patterns...species distribution limits...and why gonetic breaks, etc. may have happened in these species...I mean to say: why genetic breaks, etc. may have happened in these species. I've decided to write my paper on mechanisms on the kinds of gene flow that were discussed in this paper...Anyone want to comment on this...I promise not to be so sensitive about any criticisms, etc,. from anyone. If anyone has any criticisms of my tentatively proposed topic, I certainly need to hear it (...Sorry about yesterday...)
