I am a graduate student at the University of Kansas interested in myrmecophiles of Liometopum apiculatum, a high altitude Dolicheroderine ant. There are four genera of Staphylinid beetles that aare found in the colonies of the ant. I will be studying the evolution of the myrmecophilic behaviors of the beetles when evolving under myrmecophyly. If there are other workers who are studying coevolution, myrmecophyly, the use of behaviors in cladistics, or simply studying organisms that occur in high altidude deserts in the Nearctic, I would like to establish contact. Thank you very much. ------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Jim Danoff-Burg (Snow Museum, Univ. of Kansas, Lawrence, KS 66045) Bitnet: KUENTO@UKANVAX
