======= I am a PhD student and I am starting a study on the Tortula ruralis complex (Bryophyta, Musci, Pottiaceae) I will study the taxonomy and systematics of this group in the mediterranean region (mainly southern Italy and SE Europe) but will consider also other regions, as a basis for further work on its ecology. My aim would be to study natural selection in the wild on this group (or on selected species in this group). There is someone that can give me information on studies on this group, particularly in relation to natural selection (e.g. popu- lation studies, in the wild or not), or on other groups of bryophytes (in particular mosses)? Thank you to everyone (if any) that will write.
