The rumor states that the 1984 Corvette will be a turbo and will be the fastest production auto. Can anyone shed some light on this? Does this include the Porshe 944 turbo? The 944 turbo isn't out yet, but I suspect it'll have quite a ways to go
before it's the fastest production car. It'll have to conquer the 911 turbo
(a/k/a 930), the Lamborghini Countach, the Ferrari 512BB, etc., etc.. The
same would apply to a Corvette turbo; I remember hearing rumors quite a
while back about a 928 5 liter turbo, which would also give the aforementioned
a run for their money.
