June 3, 1983 _______________________________________________________ I have a 1980 Buick that is always parked out- doors. I've recently noticed "crazing" of the paint on the hood. (looks like little spider webs or cracks in the paint). Is there any method I can use to restore the sur- face other than having the car repainted? Would one of the 'waxing compounds' help (the kind that contain an abrasive material) or would this remove too much? What would have caused the problem in the first case? - The usual 'North American Quality'? or perhaps wax types. Any help would be appreciated. Don Martin Athabasca University Edmonton Alberta
