[net.auto] points to ponder:

I wonder what would happen if all the traffic controls, rules and regulations
were to be removed. All the speeders on the net could then do as they wished
with only their conscience to guide them.

Now that someone is getting rich selling and making radar detectors, I
wonder how long it will be before modern science comes along with a
chemical that people can take to defeat the equipment used to detect
the amount of alcohol in the blood.

If people keep breaking the motor vehicle laws, why then don't we just
remove them. (the laws; not the people) Just imagine how happy that
will make the American driver. Never to be bothered by the police again.

Just kidding folks. But there are a few people out on the roadways that
would like that. They are the ones that believe they are above the law
and decide what they want to do and when they want to do it. The
responses to my torts about using radar detectors demonstrate this.
Anyone can think and say things that seem to justify their actions, but
thanks to the American way, the few "oddballs" don't control the law
makers.

	1) Does anyone know the traffic rules on the Autobahn?
I have been told that there is NO speed limit. If
this is true, there must be some data available on
accident rates on high-speed roads. (Insurance
companies in Europe would have all this data.)

	2) There is a way to beat breathalizers. In the interest
of public safety, I WILL NOT PUT IT ON THE NET.
(There is no known way to beat a blood test, however.
	   But policemen don't carry syringes.)

	3) There are major roads in the US that used to have speed
limits of 70 MPH. Insurance companies must have accident
data from these roads. Does anyone out there work as
a programmer for an insurance company? Could you make
this data available for us? (Or are all insurance
companies still running IBM systems with no access to this
	   net?)

	Let's get the real data,

Just how high is your pedastal or white your hat ?????????????
If the Gipper and Nancy or Watt dot't qualify as "oddballs"; I'll eat my
radar detector!!. I'm surprised you admit to driving a car for fear of
melting the polar ice caps with the increased warming of the atmosphere.

Just a plain ole speeder and law breaker and tax payer and voter and .....
