I am a member of the ISIS project and have recently completed my Ph.D. in computer science at Cornell. I am interested in learning about available distributed systems research or advanced development positions. My research on the ISIS project has focused on the failure recovery problem for object-oriented systems. My Ph.D. dissertation presents a log-based mechanism for consistently recovering replicated data in a distributed system (this includes ensuring consistency between object replicas and between different objects). In general, however, I am interested in most aspects of distributed systems (not limited to fault-tolerance). I would be very interested in hearing about any positions of which anyone is aware.
