Hello everyone, I just installed ISIS 2.1, ran some of the demos, and I am very excited about it and about the possiblity of developing a course in distributed computing using ISIS. Are there people on the net who use ISIS for teaching such a course? If so, are you willing to share some of your teaching materials (outline, assignments, reading list)? If this question was asked before, I apologize, and I kindly request a summary of the replies. If not, I will summarize and forward the the answers to anyone interested. Thanks, Laurian M. Since we've recently had several postings concerning questions/reports of teaching distributed computing courses using ISIS, I would like to provide the service of compiling these postings for reference. I would request that if you are presently using ISIS for teaching purposes, have used it in the past, or are considering using it, that you send me an email letting me know about your experiences or questions. I will compile and post a summary of this information. Please send the email directly to me to avoid excessive clutter on comp.sys.isis. And by the way, to the many people who have already sent such reports, if you could either send a recap, or at least your name and institution (so I can dig through the news archive for the original!), I would really appreciate it. Thanks, --Tim tclark@cs.cornell.edu
