Hello! I've been trying to compile and install ISIS 2.1 on a VAX processor (6310 and VAXstation3100) running Ultrix 4.1. There seems to be a problem in compiling it: cd util; make MCHTYPE=VAX MCHDEPCFLAGS="" OPLIBS= CC=cc OPTIM="-O" ; cd .. gcc -DVAX -I../../include -c -O ../../util/long_haul.c /usr/include/sys/file.h:125: warning: garbage at end of #ifdef argument In file included from ../../include/isis.h:40, from ../../util/long_haul.c:22: /usr/include/stdio.h:157: parse error before `char' ../../util/long_haul.c: In function long_haul_init: ../../util/long_haul.c:198: warning: argument passing between incompatible point er types ../../util/long_haul.c: In function rcvApplList: ../../util/long_haul.c:362: warning: argument passing between incompatible point er types (lots of these) then finally: ../../util/long_haul.c: In function startReplay: ../../util/long_haul.c:2547: warning: argument passing between incompatible poin ter types *** Error code 1 Stop. *** Error code 1 Stop. *** Error code 1 Stop. It seems to compile fine on a MIPS runing Ultrix, but the VAX is giving it problems. So, does anyone have any suggestions? -Thanks! -Tom ------------------------------ Thomas Hacker "Criticism is something we can avoid easily - by saying Systems Programmer nothing, doing nothing, and begin nothing" - Aristotle Oakland University, Rochester Mich (313) 370-4358 hacker@vela.acs.oakland.edu HACKER@OAKLAND uunet!umich!vela!hacker
