"Abuse tends to be to the INTERIOR of the car." Come on Dave, be serious. I rented an '81 Capri after my '82 Z-28 was stolen, the thing was thoroughly abused. I must admit that if I was stupid enough to base my opinion on what kind of car to buy based on a rental car I wouldn't buy a Mustang, or anything made by Ford. However I am not stupid, and I bought an '83 mustang GT. You claim the Supra handles better that the Mustang. Have you driven an '83 Mustang? Specifically, have you driven the beefed-up GT? You can't compare a standard mustang to a Supra, it would be like comparing a VAX to an apple. Besides, even if "the Supra handles better at ALL speeds" as you claim (which I doubt based on what I've read in MT, R&T and C&D), what does it matter? The Mustang will have left you behind, breathing dust and burnt rubber. In my opinion, the Supra doesn't compare to Mustang overall, underall, or in any other way. -Bill Vogel ..ihldt!....!wrv
