I recently deposited Speakquencer v1.1 at the IUBIO software archives. This freeware utility for the Macintosh reads existing nucleotide sequence and speaks new sequence as it is entered from the keyboard. This version contains a bug which will crash the program if large text files are opened. A fix for this bug (v1.1.1) has been posted to IUBIO and should make the archives in the next few days. If you currently use Speakquencer, please grab the update when it appears. The documentation (and features) remain the same, but I've added a note encouraging users to drop me a line so you can be alerted to later updates more easily. -- ==== Christian E.
