Hello fellow netters, I am in the process of a major overhaul of the multiple sequence editor ESEE. I would like to give a lot more attention to a variety of data types than I did in the past. Since the program was originally conceived to handle the types of data I myself was using the set of supported formats was very limited. To give you some idea, I never used Genbank while I was in Canada, only Embl and don't even know the full Genbank format specs! In the past couple of years the sphere of users has outgrown the sphere of people that I actually have contact with. Therefore if you are an ESEE user (registered or not) and if you would like to suggest a data format for input to and output from ESEE please send me a complete description of that format via e-mail at one of the addresses listed below. For the sake of those thousands of readers of this group/list who could care less about this issue don't respond to this message via the net, PLEASE! -Eric Cabot Department of Biology University of Rochester Rochester, NY ph: (716) 275-9097 -- =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= Eric Cabot | elmo@uhura.cc.rochester.edu "insert your face here" | elmo@uordbv.bitnet =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=
