[net.auto] Muscle Cars of the 60's

psuvm%q7f (04/07/83)

Is there anyone out there who is interested in cars that were
not just built? Personally I think detroit hasn't made anything
worthwhile in at least 12 years. Sure, the styling on
the new Camaro/Firebird and Corvette looks neat, but how would it stand
up to a backstreet challenge by a hemi 'Cuda or a 427/435 'Vette or
a '69 ZL-1 Camaro? Looks are nice, but today's cars just don't have
the muscle to back up what their bodies claim.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who shares these beliefs
(or someone who wants to try to convince me otherwise), just send
it in to net.auto or direct to me (Q7F@PSUVM).

Waiting to see if anyone reads this stuff...

With respect to the Muscle Cars of the 60's postings.
I just bought one,
a 1967 GTO, it takes my breath away.
