Here is the Readme from the anonymous ftp archive for MacSciTech:

Welcome to the Macintosh Scientific and Engineering Users Association (MacSciTech) archives. Our software is available through anonymous FTP to ra.nrl.navy.mil (128.60.0.21).
More information is stored in the /MacSciTech/help directory:
Available files in the help subdirectory:
aboutMacSciTech.txt -- information about the Macintosh Science and Technical Users Association.
accessing-file.txt -- instructions on accessing and converting files.
membership-form.txt -- membership form for joining MacSciTech.
posting-guidelines.txt -- instructions on how to post files to the MacSciTech archives.
virus-policy.txt -- our policy on virus protection.
To get there, type "cd help", then either "ls" or "dir" to show you the available help files. Use the "get" command to transfer them to your system. Since these files are text, no special decoding is necessary.
NOTE: As a volunteer staff, we do not have the time to check every submission for viruses or system compatibility. You should always use caution when running a downloaded program.
Please read "help/posting-guidelines.txt" before making a submission to the archives.
