About 3 months ago, my car was serviced by an incompetent mechanic in a small town in South Dakota. Ever since then, the voltage regulator has buzzed loudly enough to be annoying in the passenger compartment. I replaced the voltage regulator, and all it did was change the pitch of the buzzing. Several mechanics have looked at it and have had no idea what the problem could be. The regulator is operating properly otherwise. Has anybody out there had a similar problem or an idea as to the cause?
