Does anyone know of any good books for middle school and high school
students wanting to learn the basics of computer science?
I am about to start tutoring a 13-year-old home-schooled kid in computer
programming/science. He has already done quite a bit of hacking around
on his PC, so I'd like suggestions about books/curricula aimed at a level
higher than the "Hello world" type of stuff. Maybe some simple algorithms,
data structures, etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will post a summary of any info.
Thanks.
