The Doug Nash 7 speed manual overdrive transmission, from what I have heard, will not be available until September or so. Has anyone out there heard any other rumours about that? I have written a long letter to the Corvette Project Manager in Michigan, which I have copied to the Popular Mechanics Owner's Report Editor. I was originally going to post it to the net, but it turned out to be over 400 lines long. It basically covers all of my gripes with my car - all of the bad things that have happened in the 10 weeks I've owned it. I've left out all of the "ooh-aah" stuff everyone's seen in the ads, etc., and have included lots of little nits about things they could improve. If anyone is interested in reading the letter, I will be happy to send them a copy. If enough people resond, I can post it. I'll also be happy to answer anyone's questions on the car (and yes, I do have both the Z51 Performance package and the Bose stereo, and yes, the car is black). Rick
