[sci.nanotech] Call for Speakers on Global Village Technologies

peter@uunet.uu.net (Peter Renzland) (08/23/90)

GOMIG, the Government of Ontario Microcomputer Interest Group, is looking for
speakers on topics such as

	Computer Supported Co-operative Work
Global Networks for Business and Culture
	Hypermedia
	Nanotechnology
	Neural Networks
	Virtual Reality

to continue with our Global Village Technologies theme. Our topics so
far have been Smart Cards, ALEX, Expert Systems, and a spirited Panel
Discussion on Cross-Ministry Connectivity.

The meetings are on the third Thursday of each month, at Queen's Park, and we
do need a speaker for the Sept 20th event.

The audience will be of mixed levels both technically and in seniority. The
atmosphere is very informal. There is a video link to Oshawa, and a tape
is produced for later viewing by people who cannot attend the meeting live.
The room holds about 50 people. There will probably be between 30 and 40.

While we cannot offer an honorarium, we hope that an opportunity to enlighten
an audience with perhaps the highest ratio of influence to awareness may be
sufficient reward.

Please contact me if you can make a presentation on a listed or similar topic.
I would be particularly happy to hear from someone who is available for the
Sep. 20th date. Or, if you know of a speaker whom you can recommend, please
let me know.
