I have read Feng Zhao's thesis about an O(N) algorithm for 3D N-body simulations. Has anyone implemented this in something other than Lisp? Is there follow-up research papers to this algorithm? Can someone recommends any good articles about N-body simulation. My background is Computer Science, not engineering... Please Email your responses to cristy@dupont.com. Thanks in advance.

I'm wondering if anyone has figured out how to cast Greengard/Rohklin O(n) free-space algorithm into the Poisson-Boltzmann system which is highly non-linear, but somewhat more realistic approximation to a protein in solution? -- Richard M.
