[sci.nanotech] Need Help with fictional product

JBK4@psuvm.psu.edu (04/13/91)

I'm doing a group project for a speechcomm class in which we are
creating a new product. I'm to speak on the technical aspects of our
product. I briefly describe it, this is fictional.

Name: HERE BEER

A device that transports your beer across the room to your hand when
you call it. I want to make the device be very small so that it fits
a standard sized beer can like a glove. I need info on the following
things:

1) Redirecting a gravitational field so that the device can float across the
   room.
2) Transmitting power via microwaves from a source to the device.
3) Molecular rearrangement so that it can change shapes fluidly.
4) It needs to be very small so that it can be held comfortably in your hand
and fit around the can like a thin glove, no more than a cm or so in
   thickness. Nanotech?
5) Electronic sensor pad that recognizes fingerprints so that only you can
   drink your beer.
6) Voice pattern recognition so it can come to you when you call it.
7) Some sort of homing device that is worn on the wrist so it can find you in
   a crowded room.
8) A navigational system to avoid other objects while it flys to you.

I'd really appreciate any info that you could give or even any ideas
or suggestions that you may have regarding our product. Remember,
our product is fictional. Please E-mail your replies if you can.
Thanks.

[Perhaps it would be simpler to have a device that homes in on the sound
of your call, and squirts a stream of beer across the room at your mouth?
