[sci.chem] QSARs and phenylalkylamine psychotomimetics

eesnyder@boulder.Colorado.EDU (Eric E. Snyder) (02/03/90)

I just came across a really interesting article on structure-activity
relationships in phenylalkylamine psaychotomimetics. Check out:

Clare, BW. J. Med. Chem. 1990, 33, 687-702.

It is easily the most comprehensive examination of the subject to date.
Although it overlooks a number of important "biological" considerations
and is forced to rely heavily on dubious human activity data, it certainly
makes a heroic effort. I would appreciate the comments of anyone versed
in computational chemistry as to the soundness of the methodology.....
